Overview

Key areas of the role:

  • Working closely with Google on PPC, Search and YouTube
  • Monitoring all social content including Facebook promotional campaigns and developing new channels on Instagram and Twitter
  • Responsibility for reporting the overall effectiveness of these campaigns to the business

Responsibilities:

  • Working with Google on PPC, Search, YouTube
  • Overseeing and leading the planning, execution and on-going management of paid search campaigns
  • Being pro-active in suggesting ideas for optimisation of account
  • Supporting the growth of Smyths Toys through sharing insights, trends and communicating the wider digital story
  • Content Management – Management of mobile sites on a day to day basis to ensure consistency of brand and monitoring the digital executive to update content, graphics and promotions
  • Creative Writing & Content Generation – Production of persuasive and interesting content to be used across a variety of channels
  • Working with the group Marketing team to integrate the seasonal campaigns into online platforms including website, remarketing, PPC, display advertising and social media
  • Social Media – Management of all social media channels
  • Achieving the maximum return on investment through all online platforms through the proficient use of analytical tools and translating data into actionable insights
  • Assisting with the development and execution of an on-going audit system to be completed monthly and seasonally to update existing & generate new content in support of SEO needs
  • Market Research – Monitor new opportunities for the business & competitor activity
  • Quality assurance checks

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualification in Marketing/Online/Digital Marketing at third level or have experience and responsibility in a B2C Marketing department
  • Analytically minded with good attention to detail
  • An ‘it’s up to me to make it happen’ attitude
  • Knowledge of Google Adwords, especially tracking features and integration with Google Analytics (a pass on Google Advertising Fundamentals and Search Advanced exams is desired)
  • Proven knowledge & success with Online Marketing channels such as PPC
  • Proficient user of Google Analytics and the ability to translate data into usable insights
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong user experience skills and the ability to review customer journey through the website in order to consider implementation of adjustments and improvements
