Overview

 Primary Objectives/Key Responsibilities

Digital Development

  • Input into the design and delivery of a corporate digital strategy to support the achievement of the business objective objectives
  • Responsible for developing content strategy, content optimisation, conversation planning and content ideation for the relevant program areas
  • Develop and implement a fully integrated operational plan which includes defined inputs, outputs and measures
  • Understand how all aspects of social media and digital play its role in Owned, Earned and Paid strategies
  • Add digital thought leadership to digital campaigns, with user engagement and experience in mind
  • Work closely with our digital agency to optimise the visitor’s digital journey, ensure consistency in terms of messaging and content and SEO, ensuring the best user experience possible.
  • Work closely with our programme teams in optimising and evolving the brands digitally.
  • Research and evaluate external advancements in the digital ecosystem
  • Propose appropriate application of technology to solve business problems or to exploit business opportunities
  • Promote the effective use of online solutions to improve customer/user satisfaction, reduce operating expenses and maximise revenues and/or efficiencies
  • Design and implement online solutions for tourism development
  • Advise and support senior managers on all aspects of digital potential

Project Management Support

  • Evaluate potential digital projects to assess the clarity of objectives, cost, risk and Return on Investment
  • Ensure that digital projects are appropriately scoped and that the client and user needs are specified accurately and in sufficient detail
  • Promote best practice in project management disciplines
  • Support the design of the request for tenders, evaluation of responses and the negotiation of contract arrangements for the procurement of 3rd party supports
  • Provide ongoing advice and support to teams engaged in the delivery of digital Business projects

Optimisation and Maintenance of existing Online Solutions

  • Evaluate requests for enhancements and support activities in line with business priorities
  • Maintain full compliance with all policies, procedures, and corporate controls
  • Manage the optimisation of the organisation’s external websites
  • Ensure that there are clear SLAs and controls in place to deliver consistent quality and value for money

People Management

  • Manage all staff reporting to the position to effectively train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities
  • Conduct Performance Reviews in line with comany policy
  • Proactively develop the skills of the team to ensure they attain the appropriate level of competence

Stakeholder Management

  • Develop a network of external digital experts, to keep abreast of new developments and applications
  • Provide regular feedback and reviews to 3rd party providers
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the internal IT team
  • Provide regular detailed reports to all stakeholders including the level of work activity

Financial Management

  • Manage the relevant digital budget
  • Provide advice and guidance to the organisation to ensure value for money in digital initiatives

* The successful candidate will commence on the 1st point of the salary scale in line with current Government policy.

Person Specification

Qualifications: A 3rd level qualification in Digital Marketing or related field.

Experience: The successful candidate will demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of best practice in digital marketing and have a minimum of three years’ successful experience in a digital marketing management role that included a track record of successful experience in the following:

  • Design and delivery of digital strategy to support corporate objectives
  • Management of digital projects and programmes including web and app development
  • Management of digital marketing professionals
  • Optimisation of websites and social media platforms
  • Socialmedia marketing
  • Stakeholder management
  • Budget management
