Overview

Digital Marketing Manager

This is an Ireland-based role for our Aussie company. We are expanding our marketing presence in Europe for our World Nomads brand, and as such we’re on the hunt for a Digital Advertising Manager based in Cork to oversee our online and search marketing programs targeting B2B and B2C channels. We believe travel is exciting and inspiring, but more than that, it can open minds and change lives. We are in the business of travel insurance … but we pride ourselves on being unconventional.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Driving consumer direct sales and brand awareness through search, email and social marketing
  • Developing content marketing campaigns to extend SEO footprints and support brand development initiatives
  • Developing email marketing strategies to both acquire new customers as well as develop consumer insight and report key learnings back into head office marketing team
  • Work with the head office marketing and content teams to develop US-centric social media playbook/strategy
  • Support the development of PR relationships with key industry media, bloggers and travel partners
  • Work with head office to develop Ambassador programs to support and reward high value customers
  • Support affiliate account manager, regional manager and global sales director in generating leads and managing partnerships
  • Develop relationships with other travel, DMO, tourism boards, and like-minded consumer brands to support programs and campaigns

Here’s a checklist to work out if the role is right for you…

You most definitely:

  • Love travel – every single bit of it – exploring the world, understanding diverse cultures, wildlife, environments – and feel passionately about how it changes people’s lives
  • Have a minimum of 3 years work experience in SEO/SEM, campaign optimization as well as web analytics or other online marketing role in a sales environment
  • Have experience developing content marketing and lead nurturing programs, using content management systems (SharePoint, WordPress), email service providers (Mailchimp, Silverpop) and lead nurturing programs (e.g. Marketo, Hubspot)
  • Enjoy working in an environment where any crazy-ass ideas to support travellers being World Nomads will be heard
  • Fluency in Spanish and Italian is highly desired, French proficiency is also preferred
  • Have strong communication skills, to convince people your ideas are awesome
  • Are a pretty all round terrific, fun, engaging, respectful, worldly, occasionally break-dancing type of travelling human being

You most definitely are not:

  • Turned off by the fact that we actually sell travel insurance and love it
  • Of the view that travel can be “icky” and prefer to stay in the all-inclusive pool, yelling at people who don’t speak your language and complaining that the sauce at McDonalds in Thailand tastes different from…you know what we mean
  • Happy to sit back and wait to be told what to do, how to do it, how to think, how not to push the boundaries (because that would just suck!)
  • Offended by gregarious colleagues, passionate debates, and random acts of awesome.
