Inbound Marketing Manager

1-year contract initially, with a view to become permanent thereafter

We have tried to capture in a job advertisement how fantastic it is working for Elm Solutions as we truly believe that we are one-of-a-kind. We struggle to find the right words however and that is one of a number of reasons why we are looking for an Inbound Marketing Manager to join us.

Who is this ‘Elm Solutions’ we hear you say. Well, we at Elm want to make the world’s water better through state-of-the-art IT solutions and we are on the road to becoming the world’s leading water expert. We have set ourselves inspiring goals in our Strategic Plan 2017-2022 and our Inbound Marketing Manager will play a significant role in achieving these goals.

This is a new role in the company and as Elm is a start-up business you will have a unique opportunity to become part of something bigger.

The Inbound Marketing Manager will be responsible for Elm Solutions’ content marketing, social media marketing and search engine optimisation with an aim to ultimately place Elm Solutions and its co-founders as thought leaders in the industry, and to attract business opportunities and the best talent to our company. Your role is to make Elm the number 1 software experts in the water sector.

This will be an autonomous role requiring someone who enjoys strategic planning with senior leadership and who can take ownership for implementation of the strategy. As our Inbound Marketing Manager and Social Publisher you will create unique social experiences that offer value to Elm and our target audiences.

The successful applicant will be able to develop this role with a view of moving upward within the marketing function to become the Director of Marketing as the company grows over the coming years. We envisage that your initial duties will focus on, but will not be limited to the following:

Develop and implement an Inbound Marketing Strategy with a view to attract, convert, close and nurture business contacts in close liaison with the company CEO and COO;

Assist HR in refining the company recruitment strategy to attract top talent who possess the essential competencies, and most importantly the core traits that we in Elm highly value;

Build and manage the company’s social media profiles and presence;

Actively monitor social media content for information on topics relevant to the Elm brand. Engage in relevant social discussions taking place in the industry;

Seek out media opportunities for Senior Management to boost the co-founders’ profile as thought leaders in the industry;

Create and distribute shareable digital content (e.g. blogs, whitepapers, webinars, infographics, etc), to attract and educate the appropriate audiences and maximise exposure to the Elm brand;

Maximise site traffic by using clever SEO techniques;

Ensure a full optimisation and utilisation of our online forms, landing pages, calls-to-action etc, so leads can be seamlessly converted to business contacts;

Utilise closed-loop analytics in liaison with Senior Management in order to refine the process of converting inbound marketing activities into business contacts and talent.

What are we looking for?

3rd level qualification in a relevant field (e.g. (Digital) Marketing, PR, Journalism, Copywriting) with proven success in a similar inbound marketing role.

Preference will be given to applicants with a qualification in environmental science (or similar), and/or experience within the environmental/water sector in a marketing/PR role.

Depending on the calibre of the application, consideration will be given to part-time applicants.

Have a keen eye for design and can work with an outsourced designer to set the tone, brand and feel for the company;

Have an ability to use data to make informed decisions;

Understand the critical relationship between creating leads and converting business contacts.
