Marketing and Design Executive

The Educational Company of Ireland, Ireland’s leading educational publisher, is recruiting a Marketing & Design Executive to work in a busy Sales & Marketing environment.

THE ROLE

The successful applicant will be actively involved in all aspects of the company’s marketing with a strong focus on design:

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the marketing activity
  • Production and design of a wide range of marketing material, including preparing artwork for print where necessary
  • Planning, designing and executing successful direct marketing campaigns
  • Helping to plan and deliver book launches, conferences, exhibitions and events
  • Managing website and digital marketing activity
  • Ensuring wide and effective distribution of publicity material
  • Social network marketing including Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook, Instagram and blogs
  • Managing and monitoring monthly marketing spend
  • Maintaining databases and preparing reports

REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a proactive, high achiever with a ‘can do’ attitude who will work as part of our team to drive ROI for campaigns and add creative flair. This is a varied role, which would suit someone who is hardworking and dedicated with a strong skill set in graphic design and marketing. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, energetic and self-motivated professional with:

  • A passion for design and marketing and an understanding of how they work together
  • The creative flair to take ideas from concept through to realisation
  • A high level of literacy, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, a high degree of initiative and the proven ability to multi-task
  • Strong time management skills and an appreciation of the need to meet deadlines
  • Digital and email marketing experience as well as strong IT skills
  • A third level degree in a relevant discipline, with three or more years’ practical marketing/design experience
  • A thorough knowledge of Adobe CS
  • A portfolio of printed and/or electronic materials would be a distinct advantage
