Marketing Executive

It’s an exciting time to join Hickey’s Pharmacy. Founded in 1995, we are Irish-owned and now have 33 stores, with plans for further expansion. At Hickey’s Pharmacy, we are passionate about developing our people so we can continue to provide a vital role in our local communities. Due to continuous growth, we are recruiting a Marketing Executive to join our fun, hard-working Support Office team.
The Marketing Executive in Hickey’s Pharmacy is responsible for a wide range of marketing activities to support our stores and the Marketing Manager. Key areas include the company’s digital activity and co-ordinating POS and promotional campaigns and internal communications. Based in the Support Office, Santry and reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive supports and encourages the ongoing development of the Hickey’s Pharmacy brand in line with our core values of:

​​​Roles & Responsibilities 
Areas of responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Digital Activity (including website and social media)
  • Company POS materials
  • Promotional Campaigns
  • Internal Communications
Digital Activity
  • To manage the website (including sourcing or writing content updates on product, services, special offers, news items)
  • To co-ordinate social media activity and content creation
  • To provide regular reporting on digital channel activity (web, social, app, ezines), including future recommendations
​​Promotional Campaigns
  • To assist the Marketing Manager to develop, implement and drive all marketing activities across digital, offline and instore
  • To monitor performance of marketing activity and prepare campaign tracking and performance reports
  • To use Photoshop and InDesign to develop graphics for use on social/web channels, internal comms and instore messaging
Company POS materials
  • To liaise with stores, suppliers and printers to plan and produce POS materials ensuring materials are delivered on time to stores
Internal Communications
  • To produce the quarterly staff newsletter
  • To co-ordinate the various company’s internal communications – including sourcing content from relevant stakeholders and preparing emails and presentations
  • To co-ordinate the delivery of communications to key customer segments
  • To complete any other duties that may assigned from time to time in line with the job holders competence, experience and skills
Role Requirements
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills with attention to detail
  • Team player with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to consistently carry the brand through all communication formats
  • Experience with analytics and other marketing measurement & performance techniques
  • Proficient in MS Office and Desktop publishing (Adobe InDesign & Photoshop)
  • 3rd level qualification in Marketing/Digital Marketing would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a marketing department – retail industry would be an advantage but not essential
