Job Title: Marketing Manager

Summary of role and responsibilities: The Marketing Manager will be at the heart of driving all marketing activity across the company. In a key role at Max Benjamin you will be expected to be involved at all levels, from drafting email direct marketing campaigns to monitoring competitor activity and developing marketing strategies across all channels in Ireland and in export markets. The role will require the flexibility involved in working in a small but ambitious company and requires the energy, enthusiasm and determination to implement from the ground up the company’s marketing strategy.


Annual Salary –  remunerated according to level of experience


Key responsibilities:

Create, implement and be accountable for the company’s marketing strategy and execution of plans for existing products, working closely with the Creative Director, Managing Director, and the Sales teams.

Work with the Creative Director, Managing Director and Sales teams on the production of sales-orientated promotional campaigns for trade customers and end consumers.

Research and evaluate new product opportunities, demand for potential products, and customer needs and insights.

Ensure that Max Benjamin values are maintained in all marketing communications in trade and consumer sectors

Identify and implement tactical marketing initiatives in response to market circumstances

Commercial analysis of the effectiveness of all marketing efforts including their contribution to the effectiveness of sales campaigns

Manage directly and strategically all social media channels

Draft, manage and be accountable for the agreed marketing budget

Work with the Creative Director and Managing Director to create a PR strategy

Lead and deliver PR objectives

Identify and create PR opportunities to maximise media coverage

Attend trade shows in Ireland and abroad

Ensure effective, branded marketing communications for the company website, print communication, and advertising.

Write and manage the production of marketing material, including EDMs :



Essential skills and experience:

Proven knowledge and application of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with copywriting experience, visual communication. A flair for product packaging, website development would be beneficial.

Expert in the internet and social media strategy with a demonstrated track record on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social media outlets that are significant in company outreach.

Experience in advising product teams about potential markets, desirable product features, go-to-market best practices, and measuring the success of outreach and product sales.

Experience managing external PR and communication consulting firms and contractors.

Managing global marketing teams or agencies is a plus.

Ability to identify tone of voice.

Ability to respond positively to pressure and take a flexible approach to change.

Work well with a wide range of people with excellent team skills.

Ability to work in a small, flexible company without other Marketing staff.

Demonstrated effectiveness in holding conversations with customers
